The two Panamanian vessels is financed by the overseas owner, Rubis Asphalt Middle East. The vessels are designed by Shanghai Fukai Ship Design Co., Ltd., and constructed by China Merchants Jinling Dingheng (Yangzhou) Co., Ltd. The shaft system is supplied by SETH. The design, manufacturing, and testing of the system is according to the standards set by RINA.
The two vessels measure 149.9 meters in length, 22.8 meters in width, and 12.1 meters in depth, with a design draft of 9.35 meters. They are outfitted with an in-line PM generator from SETH, complemented by a shaft generator frequency converter. The shaft generator boasts a power output of 630 kW, capable of delivering a consistent frequency and voltage, ensuring a stable and high-quality power supply for the ship. This system can operate independently or in parallel with the ship's auxiliary generator set, offering significant energy savings and environmental benefits, thereby enhancing overall economic efficiency.
