SES-Tech delivered the water cooled S-Hybrid system, rated at 260 kW, on the 23000 T bulk carrier ‘Nanfeng 01 general cargo ship’ in 2020.

The shaft generator is driven by a gearbox connected at the NDE of the main engine. The S-Hybrid system can stabilize the power supplied to the main switchboard, even when the driving speed of the main engine varies. During operation, fuel consumption is significantly saved since no generator set is required.
