New Chapter, New Momentum in the Year of the Horse, SETH kicks off the year with a fresh batch of newly signed electric propulsion systems orders, making a good start to our development. Recently, SETH once again partnered with Dingheng Shipyard to provide electric propulsion systems for 2+1 vessels of 4,300 DWT oil/chemical tankers under France Sogestran Group. The vessels are ordered by Maritima, a subsidiary of the Sogestran Group, on behalf of its client Petroineos, and will be constructed by China Merchants Industry Yangzhou Dingheng Shipyard Co., Ltd.

The 2+1 vessels of oil/chemical tankers under this cooperation will be equipped with SETH's S-DE diesel-electric power system. This system is configured with three 950kW generator sets, two 1,000kW azimuth thrusters, and one 450kW bow thruster. These components are operated in parallel via SETH’s proprietary power converter, enabling flexible energy consumption adjustments based on the vessel's operational needs, and this design also ensures a balance between operational efficiency and energy savings.

SETH and Dingheng Shipyard have a profound foundation of collaboration, which officially began in 2020 with SETH's first overseas project—the 7 vessels of 15,000 DWT chemical tankers for Sweden Terntank. Since then, the two partners have successively completed numerous key domestic and international ship equipment projects, including the XING TONG KAI HE 7,490 DWT chemical tanker, 1+1 vessels of Rubis Asphalt 17,999 DWT asphalt tanker, and 3+3 vessels of SOCATRA 7,850 DWT asphalt tanker.
